<p>When my husband and I were starting out in PI we went to a financial planner at ANZ in Brissie.  The guy was really nice and gave us some reassurance that our plans were reasonable.  The first consultation was free so you would have to investigate the costs for any services beyond that, but it is a good place to start.</p>

This has increased my energy levels and my amount of time which has  allowed me to be more focussed on PI.  We plan to continue to cut back on my hours as an RN as needed to continue our PI plans.</p>

<p>Fisrt step is to call the local council and get information on all of the application fees, headworks costs, park contribution fees etc etc.</p>
<p>It varies from place to place and it may give you a quick overview if this is finacially viable, and then you can start thinking about time frames for this project.</p>

There was a house insitu where the owners lived and the only other structure was a bathroom block.  It was awsome value for us as travellers and low admin for the owners&#8230;</p>

<p>I have looked into putting a removal home on a property in the area you are talking about&#8230;And there are alot of upfront costs to this type of investment.  It is a great way to make money but may also tie up a substantial amount of funds during the renovations etc.</p>

It takes a month to see where you are able to cut spending as well as to evaluate how much you will be able to save.  The budget is a way to give you freedom to spend money with the knowledge that you are still saving a desired set amt.</p>
