<p>I believe that there are now some property investing courses run by Tafe, but not available in every State, so it would be worth while investigating that line a bit further.</p>
<p>There is also Steve McKnight RESULTS programme which runs for 12 months, teaches you a heap about realestate and mind set and has no associated hype or sales.</p>

Has anyone been investing in Wanaka or Queenstown? Both places seem very sound in terms of continuing increasing popularity as holiday destinations. Saw brief commentry by Dolf de Roos who clearly likes Queenstown as a good investment prospect.</p>

We were given a list of tilers from where we purchased the tiles and none of them were interested in our job. Tried a couple of word of mouth recommended guys too.<br />
I&#8217;ve signed up for the tiling course at Homebase. Good to know I will be able to earn much more as a tiler than in my other job.</p>

We will be starting this week-end. I&#8217;ve given the job of taking the toilet out, to my husband. We&#8217;ve got a level. Little bit worried about the bathroom area to get water flowing towards the drain pipe. Currently it flows away from the drain and floods the towel storage area. So I guess we can only improve things ! ?[blush2]</p>

Yes, we have used it for a reno to cover up horrible plaster as a kitchen splash-back. I know it&#8217;s main purpose is more for bathrooms.It was recommended to us by the handyman who was doing the work for us. He installed it, took him no time, just cut to fit and it looked great! A year on, still looks really good.</p>

<p>Thanks. Yep, I&#8217;ve advised husband that we will be doing just that. I think he was resigned to us doing it for oureselves, after getting multiple knockbacks from tilers who are mostly &#8220;too busy&#8221;. Many not taking on any new work especially fiddly small jobs like ours and those that are, are charging heaps.</p>

<p>Ring the relevant Shire and ask to speak to someone in town planning. They are usually very helpful. There are a couple of Surveyors in WA who will project manage it all for you (all you have to do is pay the bills!)<br />

<p>I agree the amount disputed is small. I&#8217;ve been trying to find out what the Residential Tenancy Act for WA states and it mentions everything except cpi!<br />
We are just trying to ensure that the tenant isn&#8217;t trying to take advantage of our elderly parents who don&#8217;t have a lot of spare cash.<br />
