Usually the council rates dept will have details of the age of the dwelling or atleast the previous 50 years or so which is more than enough for any depreciation schedule.</p>

It is supposed to be used for a dependant relative however over time these tend to get leased out. You may have to be careful that you do not get dobbed into to the local council if you lease it out.
