Have you tried gethousedate.com.au? I’ve used it long back to try and find the listing date of a rental property ….

I agree with Jaxon. Also make sure you do plenty of research before you decide to invest in an area. Look for the rental returns and growth.

A friend of mine was in a similar situation before and she wasn’t able to get the deposit back. They just told her that it is non refundable and that it was mentioned while signing the contract… Be very careful of OTP’s as they have got no guarantee :(

    Hi Jeh,

I have an investment property in Logan, QLD and I am looking to buy another one near the Sunshine coast soon. From what I’ve heard Coomera has a strong rental return and the growth is pretty good. Just make sure you do a lot of research before you invest in the area. I would look into infrastructure coming up in the surrounding areas to asses the rental potential of the place. My first investment property at Logan has been doing incredibly well and I believe Queensland’s a great place to invest compared to Sydney or even Melbourne. Good Luck :)

Most of my friends have invested interstate and from what I hear they are doing very well…especially Brisbane. I think it depends on how well you research and whom you talk to….

I would stay away from GC only because of the oversupply of units and crap rentals. My sister purchased an investment property in 2014 and the rentals are okay but growth is real slow…. I would suggest looking into Logan, Redbank Plains or even Springfield if you are considering Brisbane….The rentals are very consistent and the growth in these areas are very good.
