In Vic if it is under $5K then you don&#039;t need approval, however you need to check to see if what you are going to do is going to affect the structure, then you may need to get an engineer in to look at it. If you are just installing a wall which will not affect anything structually then you would be fine.Locco</p>

If so you need to get plans drawn up first and approved via council. Once this is done then you go for building permits and that is where the fees will kick in, you will be charged a fee for town planning approval.</p>

<p>I know in Vic when we recently put in an offer it was actually on the contract. I am not sure bout Qld though. I beleive that if you can just make an offer on paper before signing a contract however the solicitor/conveyancer is brilliant for the section 32&#8217;s.</p>
