(in laws owned one). <p>Our last ppor was below the 1 in 100 flood level.I agree with Marc it<br />
does put some people off when selling.</p>
<p>I dont know about elsewhere but here if you are below the level you can not build any bedrooms, kitchens  rumpus rooms etc below the level , even though the original house may be.</p>

<p>We found Cam Brown auctions (advert in paper every sat) really good for toilets, kitchens ,vanities etc.</p>

<p>I put vinyl wrap doors in last house and within 6 months the overhead cupboards -above the toaster and jug- were , well the vinyle shrank.</p>
<p>Luckily we had a great cabinetmaker who came back a year after he did the job, to make sure we were happy.He had the doors replaced.</p>
<p>Unfortunately it happened again.</p>

<p>Q.1 iff you want a 10% return say you buy a house for $200,000 the rent needs to be $400 a week.if house is $100 K then the rent needs to be $200 per week. Double it .</p>
<p>Q.2 If you are looking in areas where all the houses have asbestos then when the time comes to sell the purchasers will expect it so it&#8217;s not really an issue.</p>
