Has anyone been in the situation where after varied PAYG through negative gearing and then changed jobs/ employers. Does the new employer need to be contacted again by the ATO. How does this happen quickly/immediately (?) so that you do not revert to the standard tax rates?

I beleive that the ATO gives the tax payer a letter to take to their employer. This letter outlines how much tax is to be taken out.

If the wage is the same then the new employer would be able to work off this letter.
