    Perhaps it’s just a quick typing mistake…
Or perhaps he is a young one!

I tend to do make mistakes I’m tired. Of course since alot of my posts occur after 1:00AM that most of them!

I think you need to hit the road and start looking at properties, auctions, internet, newspapers (real estate section) etc and try to establish what you’re looking for. You need to establish how much you can comfortably spend without cramping your lifestyle, but spend enough to get you out of your comfort zone. There is nothing like being self taught. Education is the key, you need to know the ins and outs of the market, like why is the person selling this property, is it overpriced, is the agent spinning me a yarn, is there potential good growth or +ve cashflow, There are so many things to consider but you will learn all of these with time. I’ve been investing in real estate for nearly ten years and have learnt so much. You need to take educated risks. I’ve just signed for a property on the Sunshine coast at Maroochydore. I looked at price, availability of similar properties, reason for sale, will market be flooded with same type of property, age, tenant market, location, infrastructure in the area, bus services, shops, transport routes, development potential. The list goes on but all this can be learned with hitting the road and looking. Start looking now. Some days I spend little time watching the market and other days it consumes me. Look around the area and surrounds you live in to start with as you have inside knowledge of happenings in the area. Don’t be too concerned just yet about interest rates either, I think the economy is running OK, everybody is in high dept from the property boom, oil prices are high and if they raised the interest rates they could tip the balance and cause a selling frenzy driving us towards a recession?

Hey waz wrong with 22 huh? I happen to be the same age and within the last year or so have taken a great interest in investing in real estate.[cap] Jack if you can get a hold of any material by John Fitzgerald ie 7 steps to wealth or any of his cd’s I highly recommend them as IV just recently listened to the one’s based on success, focus and accelerated wealth and they are just so awesome. Also see if you can get ur hands onto a report by Bill Zheng from INVESTORS DIRECT….think their website is http://www.investorsdirect.com.au i found it very helpful. Good luck

    Hi folks,

There is certainly nothing wrong with being 22 the key point is that Jack’s posts have thrown up a couple of inconsistencies that need some explanation on his part.

Failing this they will be deleted – sorry Aussie that is the best we, as moderators can do – we don’t have capacity to ban people. That gets referred up to the umpires.

Hmm … Jack does get around. I just saw some of his posts in another forum, offering advice on investing in shares. Maybe he is a 42 year old share market expert, and a 22 year old property market novice?? [blink]

    Hi All

I would like to know what you all thought Jack was selling? He is not the only person in this forum with a link to a website.

The first line I read was “I WANT TO SHARE YOU SOMEONE’S STORY”, I didn’t think for one minute that he was talking about himself.

The moral I got out of the story was ‘NEVER GIVE UP’ no matter what your current situation is. With persistance and hard work you can get the knowledge you need to go forward.

The man in the story had no job and was indebt to another, so he worked for him for $5 a day to fix up a building and in the process he worked the debt off and also learnt respect for himself, others and the value of money. What is wrong with that?

I wouldn’t mind being paid $5 a day to learn something that will provide me with the knowledge I need to succeed.

I also thought he was saying that you don’t have to attend expensive seminars to achieve your goals. As he said probably 5 will succeed to the dreams after attending.

I also don’t believe that the reference to the Robert Allen seminar in the post was a recommendation.
