I think the old site was a little limited to what could be done with it. This site has far more scope to have a lot more content and heaps more interactivity. I would have liked an email to go out too, just a 'hey gang, site'll be off for awhile' but I think most users got the idea that major maintenance was going on. Like about a billion people who whinged about the Facebook upgrades, there will be people who wont be happy, but they'll still be here…….
I think it's important that users give real and constructive feedback to the team, the website will only get better as people pick up on things that work or don't work.

Keeping it in perspective that this is a free site where we all get to learn heaps of profit-generating information from one another… feedback doesn't need to be delivered in a nasty manner.

For instance, giving ideas for what specific nav features you would like is much more helpful than just saying the old site was more nav friendly.
We have big plans, but we want to get the small things right first.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the thread title asks what we think not suggestions please. I've left suggestions anyway in response to other posts on the subject.
I'm a straight shooter and I'm not big on massaging peoples egos or patting them on the back when it's not deserved. I'll do that when you have a finished product that works. I'm here for the experience and discussion not the prizes and shiny badges. i hope I'm not that shallow.
You might have big plans but the planning and execution leaves something to be desired.
At the very minimum this new site should have the same or better functionality as the old site. At this stage it doesn't. I feel like I've just moved into a new house and the tradies are still finishing off. Plenty of bling but things aren't working too good yet.

Like I and others are saying. Constructive feedback. Offer your ideas and feedback, but there is no need for nastiness. I cannot understand why you hang around on this site. It seems that we all make you miserable so one would think you'd be happier if you were not surrounded by us peasants.

Perhaps it is my lack of forum experience, but I got confused after I typed up my first post.
I saw the "SAVE" button, but did not think it was the "POST" button. So I hit the big orange button above that says "POST REPLY", then found I had lost all my typing and had to start again.
The SAVE button is confusing.
I am used to a "submit" post button.
Not sure if it's just me, but on chrome, sometime it freezes. Works on firefox with no issues.
Performance could be an issue as well, sometime it takes a while to load.
So what is on the "To-Do-List"
I imagine it's longer than a piece of string.
Now here's an idea. Why don't you guys establish a new forum, Site Upgrade or something. Throw in a couple of threads like, Notifications Plans and Progress, Beta testing (if you guys do any that is), PC issues, Mac issues, Mobile issues with sub threads for Android, iPhone and Windows, etc etc etc.
Now we might have a structured way that everyone can follow to get this mess sorted out instead of everyone posting their "wish lists" on every other thread.
You can then start to establish some sort of development plan (that hopefully won't another take 5 years to complete) and we can all feel like we're making some sort of progress (even if we aren't as yet).
i also like the look and feel. It is simple to use.
One problem is the issue of loading issues – sometimes the fact that the "What is Happening Now" always dynamically updates, it slows down my computer and creates some errors

This is fixed now. (We had a bug in our system that prevented some pages from being indexed by our internal search engine.)
If you want, you can also filter your search by date.
Just look for the "Filter" buttons on the right hand side of the screen. (After clicking on a year, you can also filter down further to a month.)

Hrm – this is something that I'd like to find out more about.
If you spot the issue again, can you email webmaster – at – property investing .com (email address obfuscated for spam bots) with some details about what you were doing at the page, and what happened when the page froze?
Also, details of the version of Chrome you're using is also helpful to trace the problem.
I'm using Chrome Version 21.0.1180.75 on a Mac. To find the version number, I hit "Chrome" (up near "File", "Edit", "View", etc) and then "About Google Chrome".)
In Windows, I believe you hit "Help" then "About Google Chrome".

I think what gng is talking about is when you run multiple tabs. If you go to another tab and then come back to a tab with PI.com the tab has stalled. It takes around 20 -30sec to become active again. I noticed it started this behavior when you installed message updates in the right (now left) column. My guess is that Chrome stops elements in a page updating in non facing (nonactive) tabs. When you come back to the tab the page has to re-establish a link with the server and restart the updatable elements within a page. I doubt there is a fix for this.

Go to Tools / Settings / Advanced Settings / and tick the box 'Background Apps' (Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed)
