Given it is 12 days since the Seminar, I wanted to touch base with others that attended and find out how they are going with thier journal writing.
Mine started out like an action plan of definate things to do and has now ended up like a novel, not sure if I have gotten off track?!?!
I seem to have gone from recording tasks I intend to undertake to stories of my experiences in trying to do implement some of the stuff from the seminar,
Woud love to chat with others on this one, to see thier understanding of what Steve required in the journal exercise

My advice in this respect is that there is no ‘right’ journal as such as it is for your benefit more than it is for mine.
Note what you feel is necessary to flesh out the ideas and experiences you’ve had.
The journey is far more important than the outcome.

For me May it is whatever I feel like writing. I find that it has quanitified what I am doing and since I started I have found a new lease in property investing. Being in Brisbane is making it hard to find good property (too may mexicans uo here) but the journal has challenged me to go further afield. Australia is a big country with many opportunities out there.
So I guess the journal is challenging me and what I percieve to be truth……So far I am finding that I was in a rut……I think I am well and truly out of it now.Enjoy

I have enjoyed writing in a journal as it has kept me in check with how I have been progressing. As a newbie to investing and haven’t bought an IP yet, I have found that it has helped me to do something everyday towards investing. From all of this info gathering I feel that I have learnt alot in a short time! all becuase I am writing in a journal everyday. I go over what I have written at least weekly to see what I was going to do and what I still need to do. My first couple of days and on the weekends seem to be alot longer than week nights

My journal started out appallingly , I havent had to write anything inolving my thoughts since highschool. It started off as afew lines of jilted thoughts, but now it has also turned into a novel.
I try to read it every day, and its amazing how much I can reflect on what I’ve written and then take appropriate action. I’ve already changed so many of the things I’m doing becuase of it.
I’ve also started a property scrap book on Stuart’s advice and I’m also finding that a great help in tracking my thoughts on properties I look at and news that affects my investing.Best wishes

I am having the same outcome – this could be a sequel to Gone with the Wind.
Alternatively if we dont get picked in the mentoring progam we could all combine these diaries and do a third book. Why not?? Look at the rubbish they put on TV in the ‘reality’ shows.
At least this would be Real Estate Reality.

]I’m really enjoying the discipline that goes with keeping the journal. It makes me set aside time to do things for me (very difficult being a working mother!). I love looking for real estate, reading new books/articles and chatting with my other half. Writing isn’t too much of a task – at least it helps me improve my keyboard skills!
Keep it up, it’ll be worth it. You’ll be able to look back at the beginning and see how far you’ve come!
