    Thanks everyone for your comments.

    An update.

Still not fixed and I doubt it ever will be. I have been to Fair trading but they take their time.

I have wasted so much energy on this that soon I will give up and buy another one. It wont be a Mistral thats for sure.

I have bought a number of these. Generally they are in the less desirable areas. As for quality of the building, I’ve found them to be quite well built but usually knocked around by the tennants a fair bit.

With a bit of a spruce up they look quite good and wrap very well if that is your strategy. The ones I have as straight rentals dont attract a high standard of tennant so I’ll be wrapping them as soon as I can.

Well, after having experience with Jenman agents I wouldn’t use them again ever.

They inflate the price they will get for you and suck you in with their no sale no pay deal.

Then the house sits and sits, gets stale and in the end they give up on it.

My perception is that they seem to work on the principle that this is the way to gets lots of listings. Many will fall over but the ones that go through keep the agency going.

The whole thing sounds good in theory when you hear their spiel but in practice leaves a lot to be desired IMHO.

Give me one of the “crook” agents anyday. They are probably not much better but at least you know what you are dealing with!
