  • Hi all,

After looking everywhere online with little help, I would like to know from any experienced credit card users the following:

Is it beneficial when having a bank assessment for a loan, to have a low limit credit card ($1-2K) with some history that is always paid off full on time compared to holding no credit card at all?

    Does credit…[Read more]

  • Thanks everyone for your feedback.

Just wondering also if the $100K was placed into another investment class, then down the track a property was planned (just say a date was planned), must the money be placed back into a savings account just before purchase to prove savings or can it just be proved by being in other investments? Will there be any…[Read more]

  • Hi,

Say I hold $100K in bank savings that can be used for investment and I dedicate $75K for deposit and purchase costs for IP, would it be alright to place the remaining $25K into other investments (not this IP), and not affect my application for borrowing/gain pre approval etc?

Just wondering further if this can improve my chances to apply for finance…[Read more]

    Hi all,

I have been saving for a deposit for my first home which I will eventually turn into an investment later for a while now.

I have 90K now in savings and with my plans and strict savings expect to have 100K after tax in July 2020. I currently study full-time but have a casual engineering job for over a year now which will become full-time…[Read more]

  • Hi Terryw,
    Thanks for the help.
I would likely be classed as a saver as I am currently trying to save every dollar I can for my deposit. After I purchase my 1st investment property, the plan is to use my tax savings to either help pay the loan off, place it in an offset account and/or save up for the next deposit.

  • Hi,
I am relatively new to the property investing forums and I am currently a student, 21 who is heavily into investing education and would like ask some questions to help develop investment strategies. This is my first question, sorry if its obvious but I reckon it’s always better to get an experienced opinion. Anyway I will ask many more…[Read more]
