Is it beneficial when having a bank assessment for a loan, to have a low limit credit card ($1-2K) with some history that is always paid off full on time compared to holding no credit card at all?

Hi,
Say I hold $100K in bank savings that can be used for investment and I dedicate $75K for deposit and purchase costs for IP, would it be alright to place the remaining $25K into other investments (not this IP), and not affect my application for borrowing/gain pre approval etc?

I agree being on a casual role now will make it much harder but my position has been very stable, I have timesheets to prove a decent workload over the year and I can get my boss to provide me with full-time contract letter for July now. Hi Terryw,
Thanks for the help.
I would likely be classed as a saver as I am currently trying to save every dollar I can for my deposit. After I purchase my 1st investment property, the plan is to use my tax savings to either help pay the loan off, place it in an offset account and/or save up for the next deposit. -
