    Hello folks,

    Looking for advice please – I have a property that is divided into 3 units under one title in Tamworth NSW.

    The property is actually one house, divided into two plus a self contained unit at the back. For all intents and purposes, it is a house that is split and yet the council charge me rates for 3 properties. I have contested and suggested that I would pay for additional bins, which is the only additional extra I can gauge, but council claim it’s three seperate properties.

    Should I be challenging this?

    I think you should challenge this if your site is under one title.  I’ve got a dual occupancy under one title and I only receive 1 council rate.  This is in Sydney.
