    Hi all,

Following on from a previous post my partner and I have narrowed down our search for a buyers agent to someone we met at the Sydney homy buyers exhibition and really liked.
They girl we met felt really genuine and we really clicked with her.
I’ve been doing some research and can’t find much online so thought I’d throw it out here and see if anyone has come across them and had any thoughts.

Website is http://www.prestigepropertyconsulting.com.au and I’d love to hear from anyone who has dealt with them and can offer reviews, good bad or otherwise to help us make a final decision and jump in to the big bad world of property investing!

Going to ask for testimonials as well but it’s always good to see if you can find any independently as well.

    Thanks in advance!

I have a feeling they wont be offering you any bad testimonals.

Just ask her how many properties she has and that will give you an idea about her passion or whether she just in for the money.

    Cheers

I agree. Any Buyers' Agent must have a portfolio of their own to show that they are passionate about investing, enjoy helping people invest and not just doing it for a salary. The important thing to know is who is paying the agent. If it is a developer or seller, they are not a 'true' Buyers' Agent as their principal is legally and morally the person who pays the fee / commission. The flat fee or commission you pay ensures that you are the principal and only your interests are cared for. No other 'kick backs' should be received.

    Hi,

How did you go with Prestige?

Did you end up using them or finding much else about them?

I recently got turned on to them by my accountant.

    Cheers

Had to laugh – checked out the qualifications page: Licensed Real Estate Agent (any BA has to be a Licensed BA), Undertake 12 Points CPD annually (also compulsory from Fair Trading).

I would ask your accountant if he receives a kickback for 'turning you on" to this company and if yes how much?

Also just ask your Buyers Agent how many properties they currently own.

Makes me laugh when clients tell me the person selling them a property doesn't own any IP's themselves.

Both my partner and I are licensed and we never have a problem telling clients what we have done.

Don't be suckered in because they have a flash office front or sweet smiling secretary.

    Cheers
