    Hey Guys,

I'm a 15 year old student, who is extremely interested in property development/property investing. I've read such books as 'The Power of Property' and others along those lines.

I was just wondering if anyone could give me some helpful tips, advice, or whatever. My knowledge on Australian property is good, but I definetly wouldn't call myself knowledgeable on the subject.

Any good websites would help, statistics on how the market works… ANYTHING!

    Thanks Very Much

    Jbendall

Hmmm…it's a tricky one. I'm not sure if you'll actually be allowed to invest because of your age. In some states like QLD I believe minors (under 18) are not allowed to own a property. Plus I dont think you can get a loan either.

    I hope I'm wrong.

You're 15 and you want to invest in property? Well done! All I was interested in at that age was golf and girls – not in that order.

Keep gathering knowledge and start saving NOW for that first deposit.

There is also the Somersoft forum which is excellent , and for a great laugh there is also the "Global House Price Crash" site.

    And, read these books/mags:
    Australian Property Investor Magazine, BRW.
    All of theses author's books:
    Noel Whittaker,
    Jan Somers,
    Robert Kiyosaki,
    Margaret Lomas,
    Napoleon Hill,
    John Fitzgerald,
    John Burley,
    Peter Spann,
    Dolf De Roos
    Terry Ryder.
    Neil Jenman
    Donald Trump.

    Also read these books;
    "The Millionaire next door"
    "The Richest Man in Babylon".
The Warren Buffet way (not property, but still good.

This'll keep you going for about a year or so.

    Hi Jbendall,

There is more information at hand that will lead you to make a right choice when buying an IP.

The website below give you different indicators of how the economy, housing, industry etc are performing.

    They are:

    http://www.hia.com.au
    http://www.rpdata.net.au
    http://www.abs.gov.au
    http://www.htw.com.au
    http://www.homepriceguide.com.au
    http://www.residex.com.au
http://www.domain.com.au – free property and sales repports!
    http://www.reia.com.au
    http://www.bis.com.au

this will definately help you in the future when you are ready to start investing! But make sure you get familiar with reading reports, data, stats and compare it to the current market.

I wish i was thinking the same when i was 15. I chased girls and played sports!

    Good luck

    Michael
