OK cricket fans who would you like to see in the team for the next test
    Tate or Gillespie ?

personally, i’m a fan of Gillespie he’s served the country well and been a tremendous bowler. But his form is terrible and Tate deserves a go, he’s the future of cricket in Oz, let him learn from Mcgrath before he retires. So for me its Tate

    what do others think ?

    regards westan

    Westan

To me it has to be Gillespie as Peiterson needs to score another quick century.

Oh to be an Englishman for once.

LOL, yes richard we can see why you want Gillespie, hey doesn’t Peiterson come from South Africa ?

obviously Peitersen is the only real superstar in the team , Makes me think why can England produce them themself ???

    I think neither.

Michael Kasporwich should be in the team in my opinion, he has out-performed Gillespie over the past year. It’s really hard to see Gillespie returning to form.

It would be exciting to see how Tate goes though.

Thinking about it Clive Rathbone, Tatiana Gregorvitch and a the new Bulgarina Discus thrower aren’t locals are they. Oh yes sorry i fogot about the rest of the Wallaby team as well.

I would love to see Tait get a run. I hate to see Gillespie pushed out of the team, but I think its time to bring in some fresh payers. Kasper is a great bowler but I think Australia’s long term outlook would requires the replacement not to be another 30+y/o in the last few years of their career.

Todays Tele (Sydney) has Ponting saying kasper is his choice.
Reason, lee provides the fire, Mcgrath & Warne the accuracy & experience.
This leaves one place for a toiler to hold up an end (kasper)

Mo Mathews wants Magilla Gorilla ( Mo speak for Magill ) but he would being a spinner.

What does the Trentbridge pitch do?
A lot of runs for the bats I think

with Magrath out it is even money!!

I would like to see Shaun Tait continue on he looks very promising, his line and length after the tea break was excellent and his first test wicket the inswinger that bowled Trescothick was pure magic.

    Heh Steve

    Yes Shaun Tate is promising.

Playing English Country Cricket last year his first appearance he conceded 176 runs off 18 over for 0 wickets. Thats not bad thats only 9.78 an over.

If the extras arent scored that quickly.

Please bring back Gillespie all is forgiven.

    Heh Guys

What has happened it has all gone quiet overnight.

Don’t worry I fancy Shaun Tate to save you with the bat. Perhaps, Warnie better learn to keep his comments about the pitch to himself in future

So much for there is “no movement” its called swing boys.

I only get chance once every 20 years to gloat so i am getting my moneys worth.

    Hi Steve,

I think Richard will be walking around with a smile for days, although it will be shortlived as the 5th test will be won by the Aussies.

Therefore 2 all.Australia retain the Ashes!!

It’s going to be a long ,sad and miserable couple of months for Richard.

Oh at long last to be an Englander.

Almost forgot – if we where to get a fine day would it possible for you blokes to play both Tate & Gillespie.

In fact if you have any other topline bowlers bring them in and give Warne and Lee a break.

    hi guys

Richard its bad enough that we are getting our buts kicked [B)], but to be jeared by an englishman — oh that really hurts.[bawl]

i was talking to an aussie who lives in england , they are having a field day at his expense. Richard surely we would never be so harsh ![biggrin]

    come on Aussie
