    Hi There

Yes, I get where you’re coming from and understand.
    Thanks for the clarification.

    Cheers and best for NY.

    Hi There

I don’t actually think that the fact that there are “closed” forums should implicate there is a “division”.

To me it indicates that there are people out there involved with propertyinvesting.com on a different level (neither higher nor better) by way of participating in a paid mentoring programme for their development.

The fact that they actually physically meet each other regularly sets them apart from the non-mentored participants of propertyinvesting.com as a whole.

You will notice that there is Live Wire for all mentorees then there is Preimium – which is a smaller group who are even more familiar with each other then the Standard group of mentorees.

The experiences and education that each group of mentoreess have shared is unique and relevant to them so I don’t actually see a problem with having separate forums for those who have chosen to go that way within propertyinvesting.com

I am sure that they do not exclude the general forums and have some great input into them and receive equally as well from the general forums. But, there would be some disuccsions, I’m sure, that would only be relevant to what they have experienced through their mentoring programmes and cannot see how allowing them to have a limited access forum facility could be considered a division.

That’s me off my soap box….hehe

    Hi There

Interesting question. And, no, I have never had to claim thank goodness. But I figure it is better to be over-insured rather than under-insured.

When I’ve bought property in the past, I’ve known what the approximate land value is which I take off the purchase price and that is what I got my cover note for when I’ve signed the contract. (well, I added about 20% on for “just in case” – which also included an estimate for demolishing of the building to make way for the new one). Also, it depends on whether you have bought below the market or at the market.

Then, I asked a builder friend what the cost per sq mtr of building was depending on the type of house and that helped me determine the final amount I actually insured for replacement value.
Hope this is some sort of help.

    Cheers

    Hi There

I am really intrigued by this topic. I also have never heard of a brick house being relocated unless it is literally brick by brick.

So, I am interested to hear what it is like…..veneer? on a slab? on stumps or piers? etc etc etc.

For me, this is a perhaps a case of not knowing what I don’t know….and I am keen to hear more.

As for an answer to your question, as I understand it, about basically where to store it…all the house relocators in my part of Qld have regional acreages to sit a house on until the house is ready for it’s final destination. I have seen some of them stored for up to 8 months. So, why don’t you sus it our with various house relocators?

That’s the only suggestion I can come up with so far. Best wishes and I really want to hear more about this house you’ve found!

    Cheers

I’ve got a 2000 AUII Ford Ute. It goes like a dream and is good on fuel and I tow a lot (I’ve got horses).
I bought it to keep til it dies. I used to have a great little second car – Toyota Starlet 4-dr. But….you can only drive one car at a time and the ute is far more practical (imagine trying to tow a horsefloat with a Toyota Starlet….hehehehehe)

Mind you, I wouldn’t mind upgrading to something like a Ford Territory to do both Town and Country!

    Cheers
