has anyone ever financed the construction of a transportable home by progress payments? most lenders seem to shy away from it.

may be hard to do – have you thought of looking at non housing finance? Personal Loans (drawn progressivley), HP, Chattel etc?

thanks Chris – that is one of our few options. I am told chattel mortgages are min. 12 months and we only need 4 months till the house is attched to the title, but it may have to be the option of last resort!
