My parents have asked me to take preliminary steps for them in regards to investing between 500k to 1 million dollars in NZ. They are conservative investors who have most of their money tied up elsewhere. They own a unit in Epping outright valued at around 400k and will get a 300k line of credit on this property for deposits in NZ.

They are conservative investors and are looking for growth over high yields (but both would be nice).

I have suggested that due to their conservative nature they stick to the major international airport cities (Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch). They are after prime real estate so I suggested buying either 2 500-600k houses or a 1 million dollar commercial property.

Also can anyone tell me if there is a way to claim a negatively geared loss in NZ on an Australian tax return? I will be seeing an accountant in early January about this but was was wondering if anyone knew already?

Any suggestions at all would be very much appreciated.

    Kind Regards,
    Tim

    Dear Tim
    Read your request/info required NZ.
I have an associate who is quite a serious player/speculator in Tuaranga.
His email address is : [email protected].
His name is Rowly, he could have some seriously good pointers for you.
