    Hi All,

    I have begun my participation just this week end, and am already amazed at the responses I have.

    I am keen to seek and network further for property investment in Melbourne, with some Australian citizens (such as myself) that are:

    a) currently non-residents (or those who have experience in the past);

    b) paying their income taxes in another country (in my case Canada);

    Thanks.

    Ash.[:)]

    I recently had a client working in another country. He was in the same boat as you except he had been self employed for only 6 months.

    It was the latter that gave us the most trouble.

    Being overseas adds a degree of difficulty but not really much more than that loan wise.

    Perhaps you need to talk to an accountant about tax implications.

    Good luck,

    Hi Simon,

    That was good to hear.

    I have permanent employment (or whatever that measn in today’s world !) with the Governement of Canada.

    I also have a preapproved loan from NAB for a decent amount.I also have a very close friend who is prepared to be a co-owner for investment purposes.

    You are right, I need to see an Accounatant when I visit Melbourne next time.

    Thanks.
