Any suggestions for good real estate sites? And how can I find out all the rental info on certain areas apart from an agent who will tell you anything to sell the property. Also how to I get info on capital growth in certain areas etc?
    Thanks

Most agents these days would list on either:

    http://www.realestate.com.au or
    http://www.property.com.au

You will still have agents with their own websites, so look at the for-sale signs in the area you are looking at to if they mention a site.

For the rents, you can use the same sites, as they will also list places for rent, so you can easily see what is currently available and at what price in order to make a comparison with what you intend to purchase.

For the best rental yeild information, look at the Tenancy Authority website in each state.eg. For example, Residential Tenancies Authority in Queensland
