    hi there , im in the middle of looking at a property that has a large block ,the house is rentable and also has a bunglo in the rear thats rented,this is my second investment ,but wot i will be doing is nock down and build 4 town house on it, has any body done anything similar or have any advise for me ,about a project like this ,cheerz

    Make your balcony large enough to fit a small table and several chairs. I’m living in a rented townhouse right now and the balcony is downright puny =/

    We are looking at doing something like this in the future. Would appreciate any updates on how you go with your development.

    Hi Hursyhurs,

    Welcome to the forum. There is stacks of info on here regarding development, townhouses, subdivision, how to finance these sort of deals etc, etc. Just use the search function up the top and have a read through.

    If you have never done anything like this before have a chat to a couple of architects/draftpersons in your state to see what they think. Talk to some real estate agents in you area to get a good idea of recent sales for townhouses in your area. The main advice I have is make sure you have enough profit to cover yourself if there is a problem, and allow plenty of time to get this project done18mths – 2 years.

    BTW AnnabelleS, the balcony may have been restricted due to overlooking or overshadowing, you never know. :)

    It’s all depends on the way as you’d develop so i think this time you just need to get the information and idea from other about the development as someone said above there you should make you balcony bigger for putting a table there and several chairs. So try to have this kinda more info then think about what will be suitable for you?

    hay there thanks for tips ,has any one got any builders or draftsman they would like to recommend that dont charge a arm and leg,cheerz
