    Hey all

I read Chan and Naylor's two books and have just started setting up a trust so that I am properly structured before I make the leap with my first IP. I was all set to go (in case you have seen my other posts) on a good deal with land, but the vendor pulled out much to my exasperation! Must have been too good for me!

Meanwhile, i am wondering should I now hold off until the next interest announcement, because it is sure to cool the market somewhat if the hike is .5% Thoughts?

    Yep; there's no hurry.

I think come the end of the year the market will have run out of steam with these rate rises.

    Yeah.

I was all ready to jump in and things are still selling pretty quickly around here (Sydney) but I expect a lot of cooling in the market after the next lot of rises… but I am so eager to get on board! Very frustrating!

Why not get on board in an area that is about to boom, as there always is one somewhere – just gotta locate it, then when it has started and your equity is building, you'll have some extra funds to use in Sydney when the slow-down occurs there.
