I am at Auckland and a few weeks ago signed 2 houses at West Melbourne with 5% deposit paid when I heard there was a boom there. I also intend to move there very soon. Currently I got loan offer from Australian Westpac for these 2 purchases with 20% downpayment from me.
As I lost about $35K from share in last month's crash, i wondered whether some broker help me get loan with 15% downpayment. I heard there was even 106% loan offered! I feel that will be great!
You will not qualify for a 106% Investment loan if you are an overseas resident.

I am not Australian. I am NZ citizen living at Auckland for 5 years.
I think i would be taking the 80% LVR.
