What are people’s thoughts about leasehold land (residential)??

Does anyone know about converting to freehold? Is it easy?

I will differ per state. You will have to check what the details are.

Be careful if the lease only has 20 years or less left. finance companies will avoid or won’t lend against such properties. In fact if it has less than 30 year I would be careful.

    Thanks JohnSmith

I have contacted various people including the Department of Natural Resources and Mines and they have informed me of this potential finance problem also. I am now looking into ways around this!! I have a feeling I may have found a very simple one. Probably too good to be true. We’ll see…
