    Hi,

I love investing in homes soo much that I have decided to quit my job and become a real estate agent. I have read heaps of books aswell as listened to audio books on the deal about “selling”.

I have decided that I do have the “fire in the belly” and the desire to sell ( and buy) real estate.

Do you guys think I should get out of my comfort zone and try in the business of selling?

anyone done the same? is this the right time?

thanks for the time taken to read my post!!

Wish you the best K3ymaker, I’m taking the journey myself..

Not to be an active REA at this stage but rather to learn the business and pick up some more information and knowledge along the journey..plus it keeps me interested

I’ve also been trying to decide how to expedite my investing goals with a full time job in the industry. Real estate agent seems a good way of learning the deal making aspects of investing, but there is something about the notion of ‘selling’ I find unappealing. It might also be difficult to make much commission in times when there is less activity.

I’d be more interested in working as a buyers agent. I know this is still ‘selling’ but it seems more honest to me. Might move your education along quicker too as money is made in the purchase more than the sale. Does anyone if it is hard to become a buyers agent without first being a sellers agent?

I’ve also noticed a lot of people on this forum are financial advisors. A salaried job like this would offer you more financial security, though I’m not sure of your background or whether you can get into this without an Eco/Comm degree.

Mortgage broking might be another option.

    Any other suggestions people?
