I believe there are a number of places to invest in the US. I think that both Orlando, FL and Atlanta, Georgia have good long term prospects. Yes, there are many issues in the US – but compared to the cost of doing business here – it can be a good option for Aussies. Stamp duty alone here can be around $25K – that is half of a townhouse or maybe a condo in the US. Call me if you want to know some information.

You can either use HSBC to set up or if over in the US – try Bank of America, Citibank etc. Ozforex are good on the transfer as their rates are usually much better.
