  • Mortgage Hunter replied to the topic INVESTOR CLUB- GOOD, BAD OR UGLY in the forum Help Needed! 20 years, 7 months ago

The investor club educates people and helps them into property. It makes a profit too.

If you are a new investor and need the support of others then I think it is great.

If you are experienced and begrudge them making some money then I think you should go it alone.

There is no good or bad. Is just that we all have different…[Read more]

    SC,

The recent course I did made no mention of living off equity. He discussed keeping equity and living off portfolio income.

I would recommend the course too.

Steve is not selling a property seminar. He is not the usual spruiker [biggrin]

Steve runs his own Managed Fund. It has been doing well and there are two points in his favour.

    1. He is one of the largest investors in his fund.

    2. He doesn’t get paid management fees unless his fund outperforms the All Ords Index.

    Despite being a fund…[Read more]

I have found that lots of investors use Buyers Agents. In fact the more properties one buys the less confident the yare to have another professional help them out.

Some people are very busy in their job and couldn’t look at enough places on their own.

That is a very general question. Some people consider a good BA to be worth their weight in gold. Others feel the opposite.

What would you want them to do for you that you can’t do for yourself? They have expertise, negotiation skills, contacts and a lot of knowledge of their area.

Their fees are often around $5000, but claim to save you more…[Read more]

I doubt you will find a mentor outside of family and friends. Successful people, whilst they enjoy teaching in some cases, are often too busy to spend time giving advice to people they don’t know – especially when one considers the responsibility they take for your actions. It may not be a legal responsibility but I know I would take personal…[Read more]

Absolutely true – we have all experienced that.

I think people put their fears onto you.

The next thing is that when you do do well they will put it down to luck!
