<p>In fact I pay $1pw extra on top of my electricity bill to make sure my home is &#8220;carbon neutral&#8221;.</p>
<p>I also use compact fluorescent lights, and when the off peak hot water system in my IP finally dies it will be replaced with instant hot water heating to reduce energy consumption by up to 80%.
