<p>so, if you directly contact the owner and do a deal, then why do either me or the owner need the real esate agent anymore?</p>

<p>Interesting to read that you&#8217;re looking at China. I&#8217;m based in Beijing, have been here for about 7 years doing business.  Got some real good &#8220;can-do&#8221; contacts in Beijing and Shanghai. Everything is possible here, for example the domestic house market in Beijing is fully open to foreign buyers without restictions.</p>
