<p>Its worse than that if I remember correctly &#8230; we have had CGT in NZ for a long time just that it is being taxed at 0% &#8211; but the mechanism is already there so the government could impose it with minimum trouble.</p>

<p>I once enjoyed the experience of attending a Mr Landlord seminar &#8211; I think he tours NZ every year or so. One of his main pinciples with renting is the McDonalds (yes the fast food joint) method &#8230;. basically whether or not your tenants want fries with that. Upsell to them.</p>
