    Hi Guys,

this is not exactly property, but sorta on our key to success, but helping you in your own success and goals…

does anyone here, like believe in Karma… im a kinda believer in it… but confused in how doing something, for yourself or for someone else, helping/giving a little, like sharing, knowledge, wealth, time…

how sometimes, things come back to you, unsuspected, like the universal helps you in a way, or protects you… or you learn something… but something, that just gives you that bit more know how or edge…

but sometimes, things just happen for a reason, at the right time, unepected…?

    Cheers,
    sis

I usually can correlate how open I have been to others and the universe by my carpark Karma. Get a good spot and I am grateful for being rewarded for my attitude. Can’t get a good one and I can instantly remember times I was not pleasant to others or thought uncharitable thoughts.

I guess some would put it down to their deity?

Absolutely, 100% without doubt my dear SIS !!!

Someone in here once suggested I “re-direct my energy towards helping the environment” and I wasn’t sure if they were inferring the practice of recycling or just plain helping others (just kidding, I knew full well what they meant). Sadly, this person spoke out of ignorance (and with just cause, as at that time I had never publicly announced my volunteer work as I felt no need to; it’s just not my style) unlike their profile which is so long and detailed that it almost requires an index page!!!

Anyway, what does all this have to do with Karma (and/or success) you might ask…..well, in regards to my story above, I cannot give you a definite answer right now, but I believe that in time this person will come to understand what I have for so long tried to tell them; my only hope is that they will broaden their outlook before any real problems are realised.

My philosphy is simple, NEVER JUDGE ANOTHER without knowing where they are from or at, to start with, and certainly don’t advise them to do the things you yourself don’t practice, otherwise you can bank on the universe (KARMA) paying you a visit and slapping you down a peg (property??) or two for your hypocracy!!!

Be true to yourself, and to others and not only will you be rewarded for your honesty, but the Karma you do get back, will all be good!!! [angel]

    Cheers, [biggrin]

Interesting thread, I had to add some fuel.

First of all “Karma is a word often misused and misunderstood. You really have to read some eastern religious texts to try to understand it. Your karma is more about building positive beliefs on events that happen (pleasant or unpleasant) rather than an expectation that the universe will give you presents if you are nice.

I used to be a big believer in the idea that if you are extra nice and good to the world, that will be repaid later on….this works well when you don’t actively engage the real world on a business/investing level.

However I have found through my personal experience, that the more I acted like a charity, the more I was treated like a charity. (ie: they keep expecting more, and there isn’t the donations coming in to fund this outflow.)

I am finding that the real world exists a lot like the jungle, where you do what you have to do to survive and prosper, otherwise someone else will walk over you. basic capitalism.

Of course, provide a service to mankind and you should be rewarded with profit….fair enough.

I have actually changed my beliefs since becoming a landlord and watching the world stage.

Living in a society that began by invading a country of harmless native wanderers and thrives through the killing of animals for meat, killing of trees for paper, invading of countries for oil(oh..sorry it was for the benefit of the Iraqi people. gee whiz… they are so much better off now, glad I trusted the media that invading a country was a good thing to do[dizzy])….. I can no longer pretend that I am nice…to do so seems hypocritical when anything given that does not dramatically reduce your standard of living seems to me to be a hollow act in the face of reality and others problems.

To truly be good, All or nothing. In between is being naive.

Not to take anything away from the nice acts people do, I just feel that most people simply do these as a way to make themselves feel good and then turn a blind eye to the greater evil that is being played.

5 bucks for the salvation army, and your hands are clean???????[angel]………… c’mon open your eyes.

It’s just the way humans are……[devilish]

geez lifex thats cynical. i think the problem with your definition is that you expect something back for being nice. and you want it back now!!! you cant pretend – it has to be geniune and you cant be geniune when the only reason you are nice is so good things happen to you…

karma, do one to others, left and right, ying and yang, black and white, sad vs happy – every action has a reaction……all very similar and sounds spot on to me…

    aussie,

    yep, it is cynical…..

………..and I no longer expect anything.

But if the idea that it all comes around encourages people to do good, i’m all for it. whether it is hypocritical or not. Ignorance of the truth is bliss as they say, and i am all for making the world a better place[:D]

Positive thoughts are a virtue to hold dear………………………………………………[biggrin]

So SIS, my answer to you is that you should beleive in “karma”, whether it is true or not, as the world will be a better place for it.

Good post SIS – i do tend to go along with LifeX quite a lot on this one, please read Wallace De Wattles book.

SIS – Karma, my views and opinions/experience

Be careful when you give that you are not taken, understand that when you give there must be a trade back in equal value at some time and i do not mean money value.

A $50 rifel has more value to an eskimo than a $1million dollar painting. (value/trade) Depack Chopra calls this syncronisity (sorry 4 the spelling) and is a matter of state of mind rather than expecting.

Over time you will learn who to trust however if you train your mind to only attract those people into yourlife that will benefit you the most then they will appear, it works like an ora, people who want to use you can’t get in, Tony Robbins calls this a “mind set” we all have the power but few use it. anybody can get to financial freedom but 95% won’t.

Karma! yes all things will be balanced out in the end, 100 years from now who gives a s..t no one will remember. Don’t let any body take any money from you its yours tell them to go earn their own.
If people want help what do they have to trade – balance all monies at the end of the day and sign off on it – beware of partnerships – read the 10 commandments, there is wisdom there.

80% of the people you know don’t care about you, 20% of the people you know do care about you, learn the 80/20 principle. Giving money to poverty will keep poverty in poverty, but teaching poverty to get out of poverty is much more powerful.

SIS read Jim Rohan’s books or listen to his tapes, if you listen the universe will talk to you, ever thought of some one and the phone rang and it was them, thoughts are questions to the universe, John McGrath likens this (yes he believes in this shit too) to tuneing into a radio station …

oh dear i’m woffeling – summary, great things will come to you SIS because you are different !! use karma for good and not revenge.
