    Hi all,

I was on Facebook the other day and saw a comment regarding Messages.  BEWARE of anything that seems to be similar to this (I’ve now seen a few iterations with varying names “trying to contact you” and some with just one message notification – which is a bit more believeable):-

It showed up in the “Sponsored” section (ads?) right near the REAL message notifications.  Right now it has gone from my screen, but it was there just 10 minutes ago – so beware.  Comes and goes – and there are several similar ads I’ve noticed since…..

MAIN THING IS DON’T click on it.  When I did, it locked up my computer with several warning messages, and invited me to call them to put it right. Sorry scammers – been there, done that, know the fix, so no bucks for you….

There is a sequence that we can use to shutdown the application that is running the garbage.   Ask someone who knows.   My son helped me (he was a Techie who helped folks over the phone with their computer problems).  The F4 key has something to do with it on a Windows system, but I have no knowledge of other systems.

Stay safe out there in the wild !!!
