I have been a long-term property investor. I used the Investment Detective software in the past to ensure I was making smart investment choices with new properties and effectively managing my portfolio with my accountant.
The software is no longer supported and the program is becoming unstable.
I just use an excel spreadsheet. The investment detective software no doubt has a bunch of lines that you fill in (itemising costs etc). If you just list these lines into a spreadsheet you should be able to provide your accountant with the same information you already provide them.
