    Hi Everyone
Does anyone know if you have an existing very small house on a block in NSW, could I make that the granny flat (as long as it met sqm and other requirements) and then build a separate new house? I know you can’t just build a granny flat on a block of land without an existing house so I’m not sure whether it would be feasible.
    Thanks for the assistance.

Rebecca this falls under your local town planning (Council)

Just simply call your local town planning office, arrange to sit down and they will provide every bit of detail for you (may ve vague but at least it will give you a good idea)

I would assume (every council is different) that there would likely be a way to get that through
