    Hi all,

I’m new to the forums, so please go easy on me! :)

I am looking to purchase a property which requires some renovation. I have found properties with cooking areas which look like this in the kitchen – http://imgur.com/YWV3HIv

    Floor plan – http://imgur.com/oXhtrL4

Has anyone renovated a place which had this cooking area? If so, how did you go about it? Did you open up the area to make way for modern appliances? Or should I stay away from these types of projects as they’re more work than expected? I do apologise about further information, but I can provide more if required.

    Thanks.

Never worked with one but my guess is that if you could fit a rangehood above it, it might do the trick? Are you DYI or have tradies to consult?

    Thanks for your reply Ethan.

It would do the trick, however I was concerned it might not look modern enough. I’m looking to renovate it and sell it.

I’ll be consulting with tradies, so hopefully they can provide more details on what I can do with what’s behind the wall.
