I am just wondering if it is helpful to do a property valuation first before we access the equity of our PPOR.

We think have enough equity to buy our IP this time. In this case, should we value our ppor before we buy another IP?

Sorry if my question doesn’t make sense. We basically don’t know how and when to value our PPOR to access maximum amount equity in terms of building up profolio.

Thanks in advance for your time!

Yes – always get an upfront valuation done so you know exactly how much equity can be released before proceeding. Most lenders provide them for free. Some will simply go off a desktop assessment.

    Cheers
