We are considering the above strategy with view of subdividing the land and selling off the land components within a 2 year period (not to build on the land that is). Has anyone had much experience if this is a profitable exercise please? We understand many factors would come into play, but in general are curious about this one.

Which State are you considering. Subdivision can be profitable in Victoria if done well, in right areas and has good recent sales history.

Hi and thanks for your reply. We would be considering purchasing older property in Adelaide North Eastern region.
