I am currently looking at options to buy another property.

I referred to the concept plan of a large complex under construction in my regional city of NSW where off the plan properties are selling with a completion date 2 years from now.

The plan has a floating garden and pool on level 3, above level 1 (commercial/retail floor) and level 2 (residential floor). The builder is known for several developments in NSW and has mixed reviews.

The concept plan looks great but I asked if they’ve ever done a floating garden and was told no. This will also be my city’s biggest development to date consisting of 317 apartments.

My concern is the maintenance of this garden, pool leaks etc. The builder told me they have seen these gardens done successfully in Sydney and Brisbane.

Do any of you know of anyone who has experienced good or bad with this sort of thing?

    Thanks, Dee
