Good afternoon,
Seek your advice. Got a letter from ATO asking me to pay taxes on foreign income for 2013. Anyone knows any good taxation lawyer that I can get advice from?

Just in interest about this, do you rec an income from o/s source?
The reason I ask is that I was told that if you do not bring the income into Australia, then u don’t pay taxes in Australia. True or not?

I company by the name of SMATS do a lot of work with foreign income. Mainly non-resident expats living abroad.

if you are an Australian tax resident you pay tax on your worldwide income whether it is remitted back to Australia or not.
