    Hi all

I am currently searching for a property in Newcastle to add a granny flat to improve cash-flow. I have found a potential IP, however the block is only 10m wide. I understand if the block is less than 12m then you need DA, however I have also heard that if under 12m it is possible but only as an attached granny flat.

I would appreciate any advice from anyone with experience in this area!

    Cheers

    Hiya

Only way to found out for sure is to get the advice in writing from your local council.

Someone that constructs GF’s in the area should know too.

    Cheers

    Jamie

Call Duty Planner or visit Council to see duty planner. They provide free advice of permissibility of the proposed development.
