    Hi everyone,

I have an old large metal garage that will need to be demolished to clear the land for a development I’m undertaking.

I was simply going to throw it out, but then I wondered if there was any way to make some cash out of it.

Is it legal to advertise it for sale, subject to anyone who is interested coming on site and removing it themselves? Would there be any legal issues with this – say if they injured themselves doing this?

If that’s not possible, any other suggestions? Sell it for scrap?

    Cheers!

Thanks – Gumtree seems to be the go!

how did you charge for the metal, or were you just happy to have someonne take it away for free?

I put it on there for $100. He talked me down to $50, but I didn’t care, I told him to pick it up and give the money to the tenant. I let the tenant keep the money. I just wanted the metal gone.

You sound like you’ve got a fair bit more than I did though – maybe a couple of hundred dollars would be appropriate….?
