Hi – I've been talking to Paul Dubois of Profunding in Melbourne.

Does anyone have any experience of working with them?

So far, he seems great, but I'd love to hear from anyone who has done a deal?

    Cheers.

I am looking for a broker who:

    • listens to what I say
    • looks for solutions not problems,
    • doesn't treat me like an idiot
    • doesn't stop listening as soon as I say I don't have a regular salary.

I know, you wouldn't think it would be that hard to find such a broker.

    It is.

    Cheers, Jen

    Hi Jen

I haven't heard of the broker or company – but that's not to say they aren't good.

Trust is a big a part of the relationship. If you feel that you have this with your current broker – and you're happy with the advice provided from them so far, then they're good reasons to proceed with them.

    Cheers

    Jamie

You missed an important point- prompt! Have a chat with Jamie, you’ll be surprised.

Finding the right broker is hard. I’ve had a few duds in the past.

    Hi Jen

Your requirements are not anything out of the ordinary and a service I would expect to provide to all of my clients.

Sounds like your previous broker has not served you well.

    Cheers

ummm…. well… I've talked to brokers from this site before – with no joy.

    I wasn't listened to.

    First point fail!

    Hi Jen,

    I have sympathy with you.

You need to check the brokers's website and find their service philosophy. What they have been doing and may be some other sites such as face book, linked in etc may help.

Definitely do get some reference from the brokers him/her to start with.
