A new chapter awaits me, on Monday my business settles and I'm free to finally use my equity…

Simple: equity in my hands 380k.

    My wife & I also earn 160k

my goal is to reduce my Ppor loan from 145 to 90k (380k equity) within 5 years

from this home. We also have another property paid off but I won't be touching that at all.

And I would like to invest again and my aim is to build a monthly income of 15k within 5 years.

This target includes my payg income. I currently clear 6500 a month

    Hi JP,

What an awesome position to be in.   Congratulations !!!

Do you have preferences re the future? Are you looking for +ve geared IPs, those needing a reno, developments, new in Growth areas?   With your situation there is a whole world of choice (could even include shares, etc).

Anyway, that's great having such a good goal to aim for.   Go for it,

    Benny

i am lucky enough to have a bit of shares under my belt and at 29 I have learnt allot. I wouldn't mind doing a mixture I like to keep an open mind. I'm heading to the USA in April to do a few things there too.

joe business was doing rreally when an that's whn your business is worth the most :) small business is getting tougher every year and I honestly think a waste of time.

I totally agree with you and I think selling was a good idea. Working for yourself is hard and those that say you get to pick your own hours don’t know what they’re talking about.

Why is your ip paid off and not your ppor?

    Hi Joey,

Why is your ip paid off and not your ppor? Really good question!!!

    1) I bought this house when i was 20, and I paid it off within a few years… The rent just paid it off.

    2) Because i went into business for my first time, I needed a safety net, I have seen so many people who have lost their homes because they have put all of their eggs in the one basket, This house was set up in another entity…

    3) My current PPOR – I originally had not intentions of living their but i have fell in love with the area and the home it self.

Frekcle: Thanks your help and ideas as well when i was re building the business, really appreciated it mate.. And i was glad to provide free shipping advice to you too lol.

Went well for the most part. A bit of drama with certs at the end and a pain dealing with Customs, Bio security and customs agents.
