What do you guys think about Townsville; it has been a hot market since last year 2012. With the shadow of slowing mining activities , do you still see capital growth /potential in this city which has slightly more diversity economy than others like Gladstone.

Its been a hot market? Not so sure.

I do expect it to rise. You mentioned Gladstone, check Google news for Bowen.

I'm more than happy to meet any Townsville Investors or assist anyone buying up here.

My last buy was in November in Rasmussen Townsville, 190k. Spending 20K on it. Will get it revalued at 250k in March.

I would avoid North Shore as the investment properties are dragging the value down. Too many tenants not looking after the properties and due to a high number of defence force housing, there is a lot of parties, brawling and domestic arguments that puts off decent tenants.
