    Greetings knowledgeable ones,

After suffering with analysis paralysis for some time my husband have finally purchased our first IP in a great suburb of Logan QLD. It is currently tenanted and the lease is due for renewal next month i believe, my question to you is: is getting a water compliance certificate something that should be done as a standard for all IP's? and can any one give me a rough estimate of how much i can expect to pay the plumber for this one (ball park)

    Always grateful

Not sure about Qld but in NSW you cannot charge the tenant water usage unless it is water compliant.

In NSW there are companies that do it for $99 + change the taps if need be. If it's an old property you will need to change the shower head at least. In NSW a few years ago they had people knocking on doors giving away compliant shower heads. Check with you council.
