I have previously tried to find out who owned this vacant piece of land next door to my own(from RE agents) IP with no luck. Hoping that I could call on the collective knowledge of this forum to shed some light on this issue for me please.
The block in question has been empty/vacant for over 5 years now!! I wish to make contact with the owner to potentially discuss selling both theirs/mine lot(s) at the same time.
I'm maybe thinking that the local council may have the answer, maybe they own it?
It's been bugging me for years!!
Try your luck with council on the premise of needing to replace the fence.

I assume you've doorknocked the neighbours to ask?
You can do a title search for about $17. You get a copy of the title which shows name and address of the owner. Then you could write to them (or see if their phone number is listed on http://www.whitepages.com.au)
To do a title search, visit https://www.landata.vic.gov.au/tpc/ and click on "Titles and Property Certificates".
