    Hi All,

I have recently asked by my property manager that I will need to get the gas safety check done as part of property maintenance as it is a requirement.

    1. Does anyone has their gas safety check on the property every year?

    2. If the property is ducted heating, is this by gas or electricity?

Any info would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you

I had one carried out on an IP recently.

I think if it's anything to do with gas or electricity and it's being advised by your PM that it should be done than I'd be inclined to do it – it's not something you want to risk.

Ask the PM to point out specifically where it states that it's a requirement.

    Cheers

    Jamie

    Hi Jamie,

    Thanks for your reply.

The property manager just said about the story about the two boys death due to the faulty heater etc etc etc…….in melbourne……

The property is only about 3-4 years old………brand new when i bought it…… i just wasn't sure whether this is neccessary…..

    Thanks
