Hi I have a question that I can't seem to clarify by doing an online search

Is there a difference between strata levies and body corporate fees? Are they essentially the same thing?

I'm looking at purchasing a townhouse which only lists strata and was wondering if there would be more fees if body corporate fees are separate.

I know this is probably a silly question, I am a first home buyer with no experience! smiley

Its the same thing. Some people refer to it as strata fees/levies, others as body corp fees.

    Cheers,

Yep – I'm with Tom. Could be state specific terminology – in Canberra it's body corporate and across the boarder in NSW it's strata.

And here in Victoria it changed from body corporate to owners corporation a few years back.

    Cheers
